Student Support Services

Student Council is a body selected every year by the students through an election process and the tenure of the College Union is one year. There are elected President, Vice President, and General Secretary, representatives for each class and Secretaries for Arts Club, Sports and Technical Associations. There is a College Union advisor who is a senior member of the faculty. The Council involves in conducting various extracurricular and co-curricular activities. They also bring to notice the improvements required in various areas in the campus. They discuss these matters with the union staff advisor and Principal.

OBJECTIVES

To train the students, about duties, responsibilities and rights of citizenship.

To promote opportunities for the development of character, leadership, efficiency, knowledge, discipline and spirit of service among students.

To organize Inter-Collegiate competitions, tours and other such functions.

To encourage sports, arts and other cultural, educational, social and recreational activities that is conclusive of the above activities.

The student council brings to the notice of the authorities the problems faced by the students and steps are initiated taking their suggestions into account to redress their problems.
