Prestigious Awards 2011-2012
    • Chella Chokalingam, III BCA has been selected to participate in near East and South Asia Undergraduate Exchange Program in U.S.A. for the year 2011 – 2012.
        • Won a prize from the US Department of State and American Councils for being outstanding in all aspects of the program, especially in Internship and Community service. 5 students were selected from 90 students for interview and she was one among them.
        • NESA UGRAD Magazine published an article on Chella Chokalingam in March 2012 Edition. This magazine published in Old Dominion University (ODU) website.
        • She won 3rd prize among the 300 participants in a photo competition (photo competition’s requirement is to award the photos that exhibits the country’s cultural activities). The award was given in the University of Missouri in Columbia during the Reentry conference.
    • Jenifer Ayyappa Raja, III B.A. English has been selected to participate in near East and South Asia Undergraduate Exchange Program in U.S.A. for the year 2011 – 2012.
        • Awarded “Best Cultural Exchange Student” by Jackson State University, Missouri, U.S.A.
    • Soundarya Sridharan, III B.A. Economics has been selected to participate in the study of the U.S. Institute for student leaders on Women’s Leadership by Green River Community College, Auburn, Washington.
        • To be an English Language Trainer in Bellfonte Community College, Shillong, Mehalaya sponsored by Green River Community College.
    • R. Sathya, II B.Sc. Mathematics won the Second Prize in Elocution competition on “மதுரை புத்தகத் திருவிழா 2011” held on 12.09.2011.
    • The following students were selected for the various competitions by Tamil Nadu Forest Department, Madurai held on 24.09.2011.

      • Essay Writing (English):
        • V. S. Sivashambhavi, III B.Sc. Home Science won the II Prize
    • R. Sathya, II B.Sc. Mathematics won the Second Prize in Elocution competition by தமிழ் இசைச் சங்கம், ராஜா முத்தையா மன்றம், மதுரை held on 24.09.2011.
    • The following students were selected for the various competitions on “World Tourism Day” celebration at Sri Meenakshi College, Madurai held on 27.09.2011.

    • T. Sathya, II M.A. Tamil won the First Prize in Essay Writing competition by Ayyan Thiruvalluvar Educational & Charitable Trust, Tirunelveli held on 09.10.2011.
    • The following students were winner in Madurai Kamaraj University conducted by “Youth Festival Inter-Collegiate Competition at E.M.G. Yadava Women’s College, Madurai on 27th & 28th February 2012.

        • Elocution (English) – II Prize (Soundariya, III B.A. Economics)
        • Essay Writing (Tamil) – III Prize  (Mohanambal M., III B.Sc. Chemistry)
        • Flower Arrangement – II Prize (Gayathri Priyanka, III B.Sc. Home Science)
    • A. Nancy, II B.Com CA ‘B’ section and S. Rukmani, II BBA won the prize in elocution competition in Vivekananda College on Geneva Day.
    • Asmath Haseena, II B.Com CA won the “Best Student Award” in the Competition organized by Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College Madurai.
    • R. Sathya, II B.Sc. Mathematics won the second prize in Education conducted by the Dept. of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection.
    • A. Poornima, II B.Com CA, Rotract President got “Best President Award”.
    • B. Bagirathi, II B.Sc. Computer Science participated in the RDC parade at New Delhi was an additional feather in the cap of Fatima College.
    • Four Hockey players have been selected to participate in an International Hockey Tournament in Malaysia.

    • II M.A. English students released a Documentary Film “The Caves of Wisdom” under the guidance of centre for Development and communication, Dhan Foundation.
