UGC has provided grants under Basic Scientific Research (BSR) scheme for strengthening of infrastructure and upgradation of Science laboratories.
The Science departments of the college (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Home Science & Computer Science) have utilized the grants for,

Establishing specialized laboratories: Bioinformatics Lab, Hardware Lab and Food Science Lab.

Upgrading Chemistry, Biochemistry & Computer Laboratories in terms of power supply, water supply, work table etc.

Equipping science laboratories with latest instruments:

UV-VIS spectrophotometer, Raman Spectrophotometer, Hi-Tech sewing machines, Textiles testing instruments, latest microscopes, TUKA cad, Laser Kit, Faraday Effect kit etc.

|
Purchasing LCD’s, Computers, Laptops, Scanners and other teaching aids such as Microprocessor Kit and Maple to facilitate ICT enabled teaching and learning.

|
Acquiring laboratory equipments to start new courses in emerging areas like medical physics, biomedical instrumentation and digital photography.
|
|
Procuring latest Softwares such as Turbomole, Autodisc 3D Max and Softwares for CAD lab.
|
|
Providing financial support for best Science projects.
|
The college thanks UGC for providing grants under Basic Scientific Research (BSR) scheme. With these new upgraded facilities in the college, there is an improved methods of teaching – learning and conducive ambience for undertaking research, leading to academic upliftment of students and faculty members.
